This collection presents the results of various studies with regard to allied health professionals, OBGYNs, pediatricians, dentists, mental health professionals, as well as primary and special care physicians. It also contains analyses of surveys about the attitude of Delawareans toward their HIV status, toward health policy issues in the MCD's market area, surveys about their satisfaction with health care services and delivery systems, etc. The reports in the collection also provide information on numerous other issues, such as services received by children with special health care needs, characteristics of Delaware's nursing homes and their patients, the variety of health education programs in the State, health insurance coverage, health disparity and so on.

This survey collects information from a subset of Delawareans who are concerned with their HIV status. It examines the participants’ knowledge about HIV and where they obtain their information. It measures sexual behavior and assesses an individual’s concerns about any associated risk. It examines the current health status of and services received by a sample of children with special health care needs. This information should assist the steering committee in their oversight role and the Division of Public Health in their future planning and execution of the strategy to serve this population.Item Delaware 2016 Behavioral Risk Factor Survey(Center for Applied Demography and Survey Research, 2022-12) Brel-Fournier, YuliyaThis report analyzes the 2016 BRFSS data. The objective of BRFSS is “to collect uniform state-specific data on health risk, behaviors, chronic diseases and conditions, access to health care, and use of preventive health services related to the leading causes of death and disability in the United States”. The Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) operates the state-based Behavioral Risk Factor Survey (BRFS) as part of BRFSS. BRFS is a survey of Delaware’s adult population conducted annually. It considers behaviors connected with an increased risk of disease, premature death, and disability. In 2016, BRFS surveyed 4,057 adults in Delaware aged 18 and older. This study generalizes the prevalence rates from the sample to the population concerning general health issues, health care access data, chronic diseases, and behavioral risk factors.Item Delaware 2017 Behavioral Risk Factor Survey(Center for Applied Demography and Survey Research, 2019-12) Chen, Wei-MingThe 2017 BRFS surveyed 4,139 Delaware adults age 18 and older. This study uses the weighting variable offered by CDC to generalize the prevalence rates and population of chronic diseases and behavioral risk factors.
