Abstract
Mi intención en este estudio es explicar brevemente cuáles son las funciones del mito en la historia de la humanidad, y de qué manera la mitología se ve presente en la literatura, en particular en la literatura mexicana, y con qué propósito. Después de introducir estos temas de forma general, vamos a pasar a analizar las obras de Juan Rulfo (Pedro Páramo) y Carlos Fuentes (La muerte de Artemio Cruz).
