Exchanges requesting that Saulsbury use his influence to get constituents or their family members discharged from or advanced in the army (e.g. L. Danforth Bush, George Brown). Extensive correspondence between Saulsbury and Adjutant General J.P. McCain. Petitions to keep the Delaware Regiment from being broken up in the Army' s effort to design a more efficient force than the old state-based system of fielding troops.
