UD Press Backlist Titles

The University of Delaware Press began publishing in 1923, and this collection represents the first forty years of press publications. During this period, the press published in a number of different fields while undergoing periods of inactivity and leveraging different partnerships with other presses to ensure it could continue its publishing activities. The titles here therefore represent the origins of the press as a leading publisher in literary studies and the premier publisher of scholarly work on the history, culture, and landscape of the Delmarva region. With this collection, these titles are being made available on an open access basis for the first time.
