Item "No somos poetas": creación e hiper-poética en el verso de Carolina Escobar Sarti(Latin American Studies Program, University of Delaware, Newark, DE, 2013-08-31) McCallister, RickThe Austro-British philosopher Wittgenstein famously expounded that the limits of his language were the limits of his world. The Guatemalan poet and journalist Carolina Escobar Sarti makes poetry fun by turning Wittgenstein’s saying on its head by expanding the boundaries of poetry through hyper-poetry, i.e. by making a table of contents in the form of a poem and hyperlinking each verse to a poem, as its title. In this sense, each verse enjoys a quantum ontic super-position as both verse and conduit to another verse. Who knew poetry could be so much fun? But the job of the poietes (“maker”) is expanding the boundaries of the known.
