Unearthing New Castle's Past: Archaeology in the Garden The Read House, New Castle, Delaware (Volume 1)

Abstract
Description
This expansive report documents our most extensive excavations, in the current Read House Garden. These excavations demonstrated the survival of archaeological materials dating from the early years of Dutch colonists’ encounters with Lenape and Susquehannock peoples to the present. Organized chronologically and extensively illustrated, the report also contains appendices that present results of stratigraphic analysis, archaeobotanical and parasitic studies, copies of historical documents, and archaeological laboratory procedures.
