DescriptionIn 1995, the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Public Health (DPH) began to measure the number and spatial distribution of primary care physicians practicing in Delaware. The objective was to identify medically underserved areas and to understand any existing or developing trends that could impact the supply of primary care services. Those studies were repeated in 1997, 1998, 2001, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, and again in 2018. In 2001, a report on specialist physicians was produced using the data collected. The report presented here is an update of the report from 2001 that calculates data on specialist physicians in Delaware.
SponsorThis report is made possible with funding from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration State Primary Care Office Grant.
