Asks Sulzberger to see Eugene Havas if he should ask for interview; Havas financial adviser of Hungarian legation, a sound and patriotic man; Havas concerned over possible reaction in U.S. to proposed Hungarian laws affecting activities of Jews; himself a Jew, he feels the Imredy government, though not liking the discriminatory measures, is taking only possible course to counteract strong Nazi movement in Hungary; land reform also planned by Hungarian government.
