DescriptionHorticulture therapy is defined as the engagement of a person in gardening and plant based activities facilitated by trained therapist to achieve specific therapeutic treatment goals. The purpose of this design is to create an environment where people can gather and improve their memory, cognitive abilities, task initiation, language skills and socialization through the use of horticulture. This site is intended to be used by The American Horticultural Therapy Association, which is 15 credit hour program that horticulture therapist get certified through to begin volunteering and/or working. The site is also intended to be used by anyone that may be dealing with phyiscal and mental health issues.en_US
