Description | Includes two land leases, dated 1834 and 1835, allowing John and Samuel Townsend to mine iron ore and cut timber on the land of Auly Lore; a similar 1839 land lease with Isaac Walker; and an 1841 deed between John and Samuel Townsend and Samuel Williams signed by the mayor of New York City, Robert Morris (removed to SPEC MSS oversize boxes (24 inches)). Also includes a business agreement between John and Samuel Townsend and Martin W.
