Abstract
Description
Krep’s paper accomplishes three things: (1) it selectively presents the history of social
and behavioral disaster research in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s; (2) it highlights some of the major substantive themes and orientations of that research; and (3) it assumes and advocates a philosophy of research generally and in the disaster area specifically.
