Student produced yearbook for the Women's College of Delaware, University of Delaware.
Description
This yearbook bears the title Cheemaun. This is an Ojibwe Indian word meaning "canoe" or "birch canoe." It is also how Hiawatha refers to his canoe in the 'Songs of Hiawatha' by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The opening lines of the seventh section, "Hiawatha's Sailing," describing Hiawatha's Cheemaun are used as an epigraph.
