Abstract
Description
Relates part played in British trade negotiations in Argentina; learned from British Ambassador negotiations going badly, and realizing importance both to Argentina and Great Britain and in a measure to U.S., decided to intervene; talked with President and Foreign Minister, personally and unofficially, suggesting ways negotiations might reach successful conclusion; is glad to report they have been successful; received letter of thanks from British Ambassador, Sir Reginald Leeper; thinks intervention should not become generally known.
