Regrets having to leave Conference before it was over, but believes it was great success; one reason for success was Messersmith's capable leadership; U.S. fortunate in having as Ambassador to Mexico a man of Messersmith's talents; looks forward to Messersmith's next trip to Washington and hopes to have lunch or dinner with him.
