Description | While Delaware's total population increased by 10.3 percent between 2010 and 2020, Delaware's child (0-17) population increased by less than one percentage point (640 children or 0.3%) according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Because of growth in the adult population, children now make up a smaller proportion of the state's population, going from 22.9 percent of the total population in 2010 to 20.9 percent of the total population in 2020. Additional analysis of Delaware's child population is included by race/ethnicity and by geography. | en_US |
