Research shows that adolescents can benefit the most from comprehensive support and guidance from adult role models. Adolescents benefit from having adults that build a young person’s Developmental Assets. Whether one is a parent, a teacher, a neighbor, or an advocate, reaching out to young people is something that anyone can do. Asking a young person’s opinion, including them in conversations and decision-making, or even just noticing them will build that young person’s assets and make them feel valued.
