Previous literature has demonstrated differences in financial security and academic confidence between FGCS and continuing-generation students (CGCS), along with some research exploring the potential peer mentors may have to support FGCS. This study examines peer mentor relationships’ impact on FGCS confidence and the gap between FGCS and CGCS. The initial findings suggest the potential for successful peer mentor relationships to improve the experience of FGCS. Avenues of future research are discussed based on the study.en-USThesis
