In this fifteenth anniversary edition, we reflect on the successes that have been achieved in improving the lives of Delaware’s children. The attention given to the data on Infant Mortality and Teen Pregnancy has been vital in reducing these rates considerably in our state. However, we also need to continue our efforts in monitoring areas that remain a cause for concern. Child poverty is at the forefront of issues that need to be addressed because economic hardship can have such a profound effect on a child’s development and prospects for the future.Prenatal careInfant mortalityImmunizationsAsthmaHealth insuranceInsuranceChild deathsSTDsSexual activityUnderage drinkingSubstance abuseTobaccoStudent achievementAPAdvanced PlacementChild povertyPovertySingle parenthoodHealth careChild abuseDomestic violenceUnemploymentCrime2010 KIDS COUNT/Families Count in Delaware Fact Book
