Reedy, Chandra2015-11-052015-11-052015-11-05http://udspace.udel.edu/handle/19716/17212Ethnographic ceramics from Yingjing, Sichuan Province, China, made with half powdered coal cinder and half clay. Image analysis was done to compare porosity of unfired sherd (3% Total Optical Porosity), sherd that was fired in the kiln but did not go into the adjacent ash glaze pit (11% Total Optical Porosity), sherd that was fully fired and ash glazed (11% Total Optical Porosity), and overfired sherd (25% Total Optical Porosity).
