Using a sample of 327 employees, we examined supervisor’s organizational embodiment (SOE) as an intervening variable in the process. The results showed that SOE moderated the relationship between transformational leadership behavior and organizational identification, which in turn influenced empowerment. In addition, empowerment was found to mediate the relationship between TLB and in-role and extra-role performance.SupervisorsTransformational leadershipEmployee empowermentTransformational leadership and outcomes: role of supervisor’s organizational embodimentThesis
