Brandywine-Christina Healthy Water Fund Communications Report

Abstract

The communications research and recommendations portion of this project was undertaken to better understand best practices, the current landscape of initiatives in the watershed and to develop strategies that would assist with the successful implementation a Brandywine-Christina Healthy Water Fund. This report details the following:

1. Literature review conducted on communicating water science, 2. Existing education and outreach initiatives in the Brandywine-Christina watershed, 3. Research findings of survey work conducted in the northern portion of the watershed (Southeastern PA) and comparisons with existing research in the Brandywine-Christina watershed and the Delaware River Basin, and 4. Recommendations for future actions related to communications and engagement related to the Brandywine-Christina water fund.
