Appreciated Sypherd's note of April 12; note doesn't sound optimistic about visit to Mexico; hopes to persuade him in person; after middle of August expects to spend some time in Delaware and looks forward to seeing Sypherd; has just returned from brief trip to New York and Washington but did not get to Wilmington; stopped on way back at Air War College, Maxwell Field to deliver address; no more optimistic over world situation than in past two years.
