Disappointed Sharp has decided to go to Honolulu instead of coming to Mexico; appreciates Sharp's interest in [Wilbur Owen] Sypherd's book on "Curses"; it is a scholarly work, but of little commercial value; Knopf willing to publish it, but only if cost of publication is guaranteed; is not as interested now in seeing book published as before Sypherd's death, but it would still be a fine memorial to a fine scholar; wonders if University might assume responsibility for publication; if not, although personal means limited, would still be prepared to join other of Sypherd's friends in guaranteeing publication costs.
