Description
Ambassador asked what steps contemplated with respect to German decree on registration of property of Jews; Messersmith replied that a note had been addressed to German government through U.S. Ambassador in Berlin; nothing more would be done until there was a reply; Ambassador interested in International Committee for refugees; wanted to know whether possible to extend scope of Committee beyond German and Austrian refugees.
