Has learned that Dr. [Hugo] Eckener is to be in Washington for conversations about helium for Zeppelin service between U.S. and Germany; has known and respected Eckener for years, but he may have changed, or be forced by his government to say and do things he does not believe in; doubts wisdom of supplying helium; in case of war Zeppelins would doubtless be used for military purposes.
