Enclosing copy of despatch No. 2137 with reference to press situation in Argentina; in spite of indirect attacks on the press, freedom of the press remains undisturbed; both press and Government have made mistakes; received New York Times clippings from Arthur Sulzburger referring to action of newspaper vendors and alleged action of Argentine Government; would be glad to have Sulzburger or his associates see copy of despatch.
