Enjoyed having Connally and Mrs. Connally in home during Inter-American Conference; hopes when things are quieter Connally and wife can pay another visit and enjoy some of the surroundings; is grateful for Connally's contribution to the Conference itself; outcome of conference well worth the effort that went into it; starting on the 15th conversations between U.S. General Staff and Mexican General Staff on post-war military collaboration; statements made to press by Connally both in Mexico and since return to Washington have been most effective.
