Was informed by Warren Pierson that his resignation as President of Export-Import Bank would be effective Mar. 31; he has served Government well for nine years at great personal sacrifice; understands why he feels he must get back into private life; Bank has been of great assistance to State Department in implementing U.S. foreign policy; Pierson has received little credit for his work; suggests Stettinius in press conference at time resignation is accepted give out statement about work of the Bank and effectiveness of Pierson as President.
