Discusses scope and possible importance of personal papers; papers still not arranged or classified and very difficult to locate specific items; has been urged by friends to write for publication about experiences in Foreign Service; had thought when retired from Service of writing, but accepted position with Mexlight which left no time for anything else; will dictate notes from memory without referring to papers; memory for facts still good though chronology may be a little confused; placing codicil in will leaving papers to University of Delaware.
