[Lazaro] Cárdenas; can give no information on Alamillo; no agreements or decisions were made while mission was in Mexico; Embick and Johnson will no doubt report on the meeting to Department; dinner given Friday evening went well; guests included President Avila Camacho, Cárdenas,and several other Cabinet members as well as a few generals and Navy people; they had opportunity for intimate talk with Embick and Johnson; the usually taciturn Cárdenas was quite agreeable and talkative; Embick and Johnson made good impression. | en_US |
