Description
These files contain a collection of notes, legal papers, and correspondence from Willard Saulsbury, Sr.'s time as State chancellor. The papers are often incomplete for individual cases and Saulsbury rarely dated papers. As a result the information on individual cases varies considerably. The files are detailed by the cases in each, however all files contain a mix of related papers, mostly notes. Bryan and Milby, will dispute; Brooks v. Silverm usury and fraud; Charles Bush estate (1883); Vandegrift v. Hollis, collections (1880); Christ Church Delaware City disputed trusteeship; Christ Church Delaware City et. al. v. Henry L. Philips et. al. (1881); Gumble v. Harris, collections (1876); James H. Buchanon will (1873); Shockeley estate (1880); Montell et. al. v. Elliot for New Castle Iron and Steel Co., creditors (1881); "An Act to amend the act entitled 'An Act for the Protection of Women'"
