Description

Germany not yet ready to move on Czechoslovakia; wants to avoid major conflict, but will continue aggressions until democracies take firm stand; Germans not courageous; they know their misdeeds and fear getting their just desserts; France and England mistaken in allowing Spanish situation to deteriorate; Germany and Mussolini plan to cooperate in bringing Spanish conflict to successful close for Franco; no peace can be established between dictators and Western democracies; eventual showdown must come; Germans fear in case of war, U.S. would join with England and France; that fear is only present deterrent to aggression.
