Dr. Farmer Loeb, American citizen and Jewish physician practicing in Berlin, removed from his position on faculty of Medical School, University of Berlin, and barred from practicing in hospital; was on point of being named full professor when present government took over; decided to return to U.S., but wished to have the title of "Professor", the office of which he would renounce immediately; Consulate intervened unsuccessfully with Prussian Ministry of Culture and Reichs Ministry of Interior.
