Circumstances of Strachey case are as he stated them in his letter of Oct. 15; Strachey may be innochous, but wanted publicity and knew he would get it even if he was excluded from U.S.; regrets that people like Roger Baldwin and Arthur Garfield Hayes speak out in behalf of a man like Strachey; hopes there will soon be legislation which will make it possible to deal properly with Communists, Fascists,and Nazis who abuse U.S. hospitality.
