DescriptionEnclosure: See No. 1835. Transmitting translation of pamphlet issued by Undersecretariat of Information, entitled "British Democracy Follows Course of Argentine Democracy"; thinks title doesn't mean to imply British are copying Argentine, but is due to ineptitude of editors; pamphlet merely points out that in many respects policy followed by British and Argentine Governments is the same; while stressing likenesses, pamphlet omits one big difference; Nationalized British industries are completely owned and operated by Government, while those in Argentina will be mixed companies, only partially owned by Government, and according to Perón, management will be largely in private hands; in view of continued statements in American and foreign press concerning totalitarian objectives of Argentine Government in economic fields, acts of present regime show no such tendency.en_US
