Mission:
This project reimagines the Broken Sound Club golf course in Boca Raton, Florida, with a focus on ecologicalrestoration, water resilience, and sustainable design. The redesigned golf course will integrate native plantings, innovative water management strategies, and biodiversity-supporting features to create a functional, visually appealing, and environmentally responsible space. The project will balance the needs of golfers, the surrounding community, and the local ecosystem, demonstrating how a modern golf course can coexist harmoniously with nature.
Goals:
• Enhance Ecology: Replace non-native plants with low-maintenance natives to boost biodiversity and reduce upkeep.
• Improve Water Resilience: Use bioswales, rain gardens, and ponds to manage runoff and improve water quality.
• Community Engagement: Educate residents on sustainable landscaping through signage, gardens, and workshops.
• Preserve Recreation: Maintain golf playability while enhancing aesthetics with ecological features.
• Advance Sustainability: Use eco-friendly materials and minimize resource consumption for long-term efficiency.
Objectives:
• Enhance Biodiversity with Native Plants
• Sustainable & Multifunctional Stormwater Systems
• Balance Ecology & Golf Functionality
• Community Engagement & Education
