Description
To achieve my goals set for this project and to enhance the assessed existing conditions, I worked towards three main objectives:
Wetland Restoration:
- Stream channel & bank stabilization
- Riparian buffers & native wetland vegetation
- Invasive species management
Placemaking:
- Boardwalks
- Connection to Chester Valley Trail Extension
- Green parking
- Gathering & resting spaces
Education & Community Engagement:
- Educational signage about stream, flora, & fauna
- Interactions with stream
- Watershed mural on tunnel wall
Throughout the initial design iteration process, I experimented with a variety of site organization strategies, forms, and programming - moving from hand-drafting to digital drawings - to ultimately arrive at the final master plan
