Knows President is familiar with valuable service rendered by Warren Pierson as President of Export-Import Bank; has had occasion to work closely with him in Washington, in Cuba, and in Mexico and can speak with first-hand knowledge of his effectiveness; he has gained respect and confidence not only at home, but in all the American republics; believes legislation continuing life of Export-Import Bank and increasing funds available to it most important; hopes President's recommendations to Congress with regard to Bank will get rapid action.
