Abstract
Description
view of ladder and letters on ground after performance end | Lowering NOW to the Ground was performed in Eugene, Oregon and webcast/transmitted via a closed circuit TV, therefore creating an unpredictable construction of reflections, shadows, and of out-of-phase refresh cycles. An action performed as part of the webstreamed exhibition “Low Lives,” which featured artists performing around the world with Ustream webcasts being displayed and projected in the following gallery spaces: labotanica, Houston, TX; Diaspora Vibe Gallery, Miami, FL; FiveMyles, Brooklyn, NY. Lowering NOW to the Ground was performed in Eugene, Oregon. In a red dress Abby Donovan climbed a tall yellow ladder wearing the sky-blue letters NOW on her back, she then proceeded to use an over-sized fishing pole to lower NOW to the ground.
