Demonstration unit of U.S. Air Force to visit Mexico soon; visit appropriately follows closely return of Mexican Air Squadron; participation of Mexican Squadron relatively small from military point of view, but from moral and political points of view it was most important; visit and demonstration will create basis for collaboration between U.S. and Mexican Air Forces in peacetime; both Defense Minister [Francisco] Urquizo and President enthusiastic; Gen. [Henry H.] Arnold sent Col. [Kenneth] Gibson to Mexico to determine landing and display facilities available; thinks publicity desirable, both in U.S. and in Mexico.
