Reports on trip to Vienna to help straighten out difficulties there; attacks on American citizens by S.A. and S.S. protested; Commissioner for Austria, Bürckel, pledged that further irresponsible action by S.A. or S.S. would be punished; assailants of [Heller] arrested as demanded; demanded also cancellation of order requiring all foreigners to have certificate proving they were non-Jews before they were allowed to leave country; was informed that order would be cancelled.
