Was asked by President Roosevelt before he left for Warm Springs to look over Messersmith's letter written in behalf of Warren Pierson and expressing concern over legislation to continue life of Export-Import Bank; following Roosevelt's death was asked by White House to acknowledge Messersmith's letter; legislation on Bank receiving attention of all agencies concerned and will be introduced into Congress soon; shares Messersmith's hope Congress will give it favorable consideration.
