Description
German minorities in Southeastern Europe main theme of meeting; Dr. Stroelin, President of Board of Directors, distinguished between Foreign Organization of the National Socialist Party, whose concern is political and deals with German nationals living abroad, and the German Foreign Institute, whose interests are cultural and concerned all Germans living abroad irrespective of citizenship; Herr Kloss lectured on Germanism in America; among persons receiving "silver shield" in recognition of services was Frederick Franklin Schroeder of New York; Dr. Hunsche, Brazilian of German birth, spoke on Germans in South America, and need for stepped up propaganda to stimulate interest of Germans in South America in racial consciousness; main divisions of Institute are (1) research work, (2) intellectual and political training,(3) consaguinity propaganda and,(4) propaganda in connection with Germanism; Institute keeps register in each community of every German who has emigrated, his whereabouts, descendants, business, etc.
