Enclosure: See No. 825. Nationalist (Austrian Nazi) organization formed at Graz under patronage of [Eduard] Glaise-Horstennau, Minister of Interior, and Odo Neustädter-Stürmer, Minister of Public Security; several factions of the Heimwehr, which had been dissolved, now also active; according to [Guido] Schmidt, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Chancellor [Kurt Schuschnigg] had not changed his policy with regard to these organizations, but press had exaggerated their importance; not certain Schmidt was entirely frank; likely to be further cabinet changes.
