Abstract
In this study, clustered multicarrier schemes for very wideband systems are investigated. The salient features of this thesis are: (i) Error probability studies on the different clustered multicarrier schemes as function of the various system and channel parameters such as normalized delay spread, number of clusters, cluster spacing, frequency hopping rate, hop distance and code rate, (ii) Discussion on the system performance in the presence of different jamming environments such as the Broadband jammer, Partial-band jammer and Multi-tone jammer, and (iii) Studies on the channel estimation of clustered multicarrier systems and the trade-off between estimation accuracy and throughput.
