Scenic and Historic Byways Collection

The National Scenic Byways Program is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration. The program is a grass-roots collaborative effort established to help recognize, preserve and enhance selected roads throughout the United States. The Center for Historic Architecture and Design has worked with the Delaware Department of Transportation to establish and maintain new byway corridors through identifying cultural resources along Delaware roadways. The Scenic and Historic Byways Collection includes Delaware byways nominations, research and reports associated with byway nomination, planning and implementation.
