Pierce a private in my Compay "D" 97th Pa. Vols. who was seriously wounded through the body July 26th '64 before Petersburg Va. He was sent to the Field Hospital 18th Corp's same day and was most likely forwarded July 27 from there to Hampton, Chesapeake or Pt. Lookout Hospitals. Officials will please aid him to discover the whereabouts of his wounded son, and confer a favor on Wm S.
